System Engineer Team Leader [F/H]
Job Description 👨💻
We are seeking an experienced and motivated System Engineer Team Leader to lead our propulsion systems engineering team. This position is instrumental in developing cutting-edge satellite propulsion systems, ensuring they meet product requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of system engineers working on both internal development projects and external customer projects.
Attached to the Technology team, you will be responsible for 💁♀️
📌Team Management: manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones; perform regular one-to-one meetings and proactively manage their career path.
📌System engineering tools and processes: put in place and regularly update tools, processes and templates, while educating the team to their use.
📌System culture: foster a system engineering mindset within the organization.
📌Documentation and reporting: be the accountant of the deliverables produced by the system engineering team, including yourself.
📌Identify technical improvements: actively participates to the definition of product technical specification, by ensure a close collaboration with the Product and technical teams.
📌Standards: ensure the products comply to standards and technical documentation provided by launchers and/or customers.
📌Provide technical support: provide technical support to the project teams, contributing into analysis and investigations.
Skills and abilities🤝
A minimum experience of 10 years is required for this position.
📌Typically, the candidate worked on space projects and developments.
📌Knowledge of embedded software and communication protocol (SPI, R485, CAN)
📌Good communication skills in English, written and spoken.
📌Autonomous, rigorous, and detailed oriented.
📌Diplomatic, a good communicator and responsive.
📌Curious, proactive in your activities and a source of proposals on the subjects which you are responsible of.
📌Motivated, able to adapt quickly within a young and very ambitious team, and you have shown a real interest in the field of space.
📌Pragmatism, risk-taking and accountable
📌Willingness to join the dynamic, vibrant, demanding environment of a start-up.
